PRINCE
WILLIAM ENJOYS ANGUS BEEF
When Prince William dined with the Governor General Quentin Bryce at
Admiralty House in Sydney, a fillet of Australian Angus beef was selected
as the main fare. This was most appropriate as Prince William’s
ancestors commencing with Queen Victoria in 1881 have proudly held the
role of Patron of the Aberdeen Angus Society until the current day. These
included The Queen Mother who was Patron for an extraordinary 67 years.
The current Patron is Prince William’s father, The Prince of Wales,
who wrote the foreword for The Story of Angus in Australia, copies of
which are still available from 02 6772 3011.
