Angus Australia, in collaboration with University of New England, recently hosted the Cohort 12 Steer Viewing at UNE SMART Farm Tullimba Research Feedlot.
The steer viewing came after the relocation of the Efficient Beef Open Day following it’s raining out in November, and gave members the opportunity to view the steers from Cohort 12 of the Angus Sire Benchmarking Program.
The steer viewing opened the gates of Tullimba with the purpose of allowing members and stakeholders of the ASBP to inspect the Cohort 12 steer progeny, which had been identified to their sires in the program and are currently part of a number of ongoing research projects including the ASBP, the Low Methane Beef Project and the Southern Multibreed Project.
