Parents and Sponsors bus trip
CHANGE OF DATE…..Thursday 11 January 2024
The program is coming together and it is going to be a great day for the parents and sponsors bus trip on Thursday 11 January – see details below.
When: Thursday 11 January 2024, departing from AELEC, Tamworth. Be at the grounds by 7.30am for an 8am departure. The bus will return to AELEC by 4.30pm.
Where: 3R Livestock herd tour and Vytelle IVF technology, BBQ lunch, feedlot or processing visit, wine tasting (TBC)
Cost: $60/hd

Meal tickets
Meal tickets can still be purchased for parents/guardians/siblings. All Roundup participants have all meals included in their registration fee. Please note, the Wednesday night 10 January dinner wasn’t included on the original registration page so if you would like to order tickets for this dinner for parents/guardians/siblings please head to the store to purchase meal tickets – you just need your child’s registration confirmation number.
Cattle bump in
For those bringing cattle, bump in is Tuesday 9 January 3-6pm and Wednesday 10 January 9am-1pm. To assist with planning, please advise your estimated arrival time to Toni Nugent, Roundup Event Manager, E: toni@toninugent.com.au
by 4 January.
Cattle details
Final reminder for those who are bringing their own cattle or ballot animals, please note that all cattle details (i.e. animal ident, DOB, sex, pestivirus and national animal health declaration paperwork) are due by 30 November 2023. Please send cattle details to Toni Nugent, on email toni@toninugent.com.au
Roundup Gala Dinner and Auction
Tickets are sold out for the Roundup Gala Dinner. For those attending, please see details below.

Venue: The Wests Leagues Club, 58 Phillip St, Tamworth
Dress code: Smart casual

Accommodation
If you haven’t already booked your accommodation, there are several options across a range of prices in Tamworth. The list below is by no means exhaustive but provides some suggestions.
Camping options:
- Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre – camping on-site is now available. Please book directly with AELEC through the AELEC website . Bookings can only be made by contacting AELEC DO NOT contact myself or Angus Australia to book a camping site – camping bookings are separate to your Roundup registrations and are not being handled by Angus Australia.
Please note, if camping on-site, you are not under any circumstances to enter the cattle sheds after the completion of each day’s activities. Security will be monitoring the sheds overnight and individuals not abiding by this rule will face immediate disqualification and exclusion from the grounds.
