Angus breeders are invited to attend Angus CONNECT – Autumn 2022, exploring the ever-evolving space of genomic solutions for commercial production. The online event will be held on the Angus Australia YouTube channel at 7pm on Thursday the 26th of May and will showcase the launch of the second generation of Angus HeiferSELECT.
The event will be host to presentations by Angus Australia staff, scientists from Australia’s national science agency, CSIRO and other guests who will give comprehensive information on the latest Angus HeiferSELECT product.

Angus Australia Northern Development Officer Jen Peart looks forward to hosting an event that provides insight into the latest Angus HeiferSELECT product.
“Angus HeiferSELECT is a genomic selection tool to help inform the selection of Angus replacement females in a commercial beef breeding operation. During Angus CONNECT there will be an array of presentations on the evening that examine Angus HeiferSELECT, both from a technical perspective but also genuine accounts of the benefits and challenges from producers utilising Angus HeiferSELECT within their commercial Angus herds.”

Angus CONNECT will be followed by a facilitated online discussion session at 10am Friday May 27th whereby interested participants will have the opportunity to ask questions of presenters and provide feedback to Angus Australia and research staff on the content of the presentations.
Angus Australia General Manager – Genetic Improvement Christian Duff also encouraged producers to join the discussion session if they have any questions about Heifer SELECT.
