Angus Interbreed double in Adelaide
The Angus breed pulled off a double win in the interbreed judging at the Royal Adelaide Show, taking out both the All Breeds Pair and the All Breeds Junior Pair.
Teaming up for the All Breeds pair were Diamond Ms Quick Thrill Q419 and Nampara Silverado S221.
With Nampara Silverado S221, also part of the All Breeds Junior Pair with Diamond Ms Sleepless in Seattle S410.
Diamond Ms Quick Thrill Q419, exhibited by Diamond Angus, Cowra NSW, had earlier in the show taken out the Senior and Grand Champion Angus Female Champion awards, as well as being awarded the Supreme Exhibit of the show with her six month old heifer calf at foot.
Nampara Silverado S221, exhibited by Nampara Pastoral Company, Kingston SA, was awarded the Junior and Grand Champion Angus Bull award. The bull weighed in at 810kg, with 126EMA, 12mm rib and 14mm rump fat.
While Diamond Ms Sleepless in Seattle S410, won Junior Champion Angus Female.
Senior Champion bull went to Diamond Redemption R423, exhibited by Diamond Angus and weighing 1085 kilograms, with 140 square centimetre eye muscle area, 14-millimetre rib and 17mm rump fat.
