Angus success continues at Melbourne
It was a case of déjà vu at the 2022 Royal Melbourne Show, with three of the Adelaide Royal Champions taking out major awards across both Angus Judging and the Interbreed competition.
Diamond Ms Quick Thrill Q419, exhibited by Diamond Angus, Cowra NSW, repeated her Adelaide success again taking out the Senior and Grand Champion Angus Female awards, as well as being awarded the Supreme Angus Exhibit of the show and winning the Joy Potter trophy awarded in memory of the late Joy Potter.
Nampara Silverado S221, exhibited by Nampara Pastoral Company, Kingston SA, was again awarded the Junior and Grand Champion Angus Bull award.
The bull had a 131 square centimetre eye muscle area, weighed 822kg with rump fat of 13 mm and rib of 12mm.
Diamond Ms Sleepless in Seattle S410, also followed her Adelaide success to win Junior Champion Angus Female.
The Interbreed judging saw Nampara Silverado S221 take out the Interbreed Junior Bull; Diamond Ms Sleepless in Seattle S410 the Intrbreed Junior Heifer Award; Diamond Ms Quick Thrill Q419, the Reserve Interbreed Senior Female and Diamond Angus the Interbreed Breeders Group.
