Angus Australia and NH Foods Australia are excited to announce that applications are now open for the third iteration of the NH Foods Angus Foundation Cadetship.
This prestigious Cadetship offers a unique opportunity for the selected recipient to gain hands-on experience across the industry, immersing themselves in NH Foods Australia’s key operations: breeding, feedlotting, production, marketing, and sales. Through this experience, the recipient will develop a comprehensive understanding of the core activities that drive the company’s success as they deliver the ‘Joy of Eating’.
During the cadetship, the successful candidate will experience the day-to-day operations of Whyalla Beef, NH Foods feedlot located near Texas QLD. Supplementing the feedlot experience will be time spent at two of the company’s processing plants: Oakey (based in Southern QLD, one of the largest in Australia) and Wingham (located on the mid north coast of NSW). Time will also be spent in the company’s Sydney head office, including exposure to the marketing and sales activities of the branded beef programs.
The cadet will have exposure to key players in the industry to join their network with potential to be a long-term NH Foods Australia employee.
The person selected will be encouraged to explore and develop their interest in the red meat industry, whilst learning how the company’s integrated supply chain delivers ‘the joy of eating’.
The cadetship will take place over a four-week period, with NH Foods Australia to work together with the recipient to create an individualised development program that suits their interests.
