Beef Australia providing ample opportunity for promotion
Three days into a whirlwind Beef Australia 2024 has seen plenty of action for Angus Australia, the 2025 Neogen World Angus Forum and its members, with judging, the Angus for Every system seminar and the Angus Australia function all having taken place.
Angus judging saw PC Diamond Miss Unaminous S032 exhibited by Pine Creek Angus Stud take out the Senior and Grand Champion award, while Bowenfels Reality T1 exhibited by Glenrae Pastoral Company was awarded Senior and Grand Champion bull.
From the sold out Angus for Every System – breeding for profitability in northern Australia seminar we learnt that Angus genetics are being utilised across varied environments in Australia and providing more profitability for breeders.
Ian Mclean from BushAgribusiness presented on how beef businesses can be most profitable through targeted selection and that Angus genetics provides financial benefits to commercial herds.
Ben Noller from Palgrove Pastoral and Troy Setter from CPC gave insights into their businesses, breeding objectives and how they incorporate Angus genetics into their production system.
Tuesday finished with drinks for Angus members and collaborators at the trade stand, providing a great opportunity for everyone to catch up.
