Nominate a bull – Be Part of Cutting-Edge R&D
It is time to nominate Angus bulls for the next round of the Angus Sire Benchmarking program (ASBP) to produce the Cohort 13 progeny.
The joining program will commence in September 2022 and will involve approximately 1800 Angus cows across several Australian co-operator Angus cow herds.
CSIRO Survey – Opportunities to reduce Pinkeye incidence in Angus cattle
Pinkeye is also known as keratitis contagiosa, infectious keratitis, contagious ophthalmia, New Forest eye, blight and most commonly as infectious bovine keratoconjunctivitis (IBK). The heritability of pinkeye in Angus cattle is estimated to be low to moderate (around 0.1)

Pinkeye is a herd disease with high incidence (more than 2% in calves and 0.6% in cows) that spreads rapidly.
