Updated EBVs Available: October 2020
Angus Australia wishes to advise that the October 2020 TransTasman Angus Cattle Evaluation has been completed and updated EBVs are now available. The following reports are available to download from the “Files to Download” section of the Member Login area on the Angus Australia website.
Important Changes to Animal Identification
Members are advised of two important changes that will apply to the identification of animals that are born from January 1st, 2021 onwards.
- Change to Animal IDs
The unique animal ID assigned to each animal recorded with Angus Australia consists of the breeder’s herd identifier,
Australian Beef Breeding Insights
A survey of Australian beef breeders was conducted by an independent market research group as part of a MLA Donor Company and Angus Australia co-funded project, during May and June 2019 and was primarily focused on collecting baseline data on producer’s breeding preferences,

Consistency at Mt Kinglsey
Situated in Central Queensland’s sandstone Brigalow belt, David and Chris Benn own and operate “Mt Kingsley”, where they run a certified organic, predominantly Angus herd. The Benn’s operation encompasses a breeding enterprise of 450 breeding females and a finishing enterprise where progeny are pasture finished to meet the organic export market specifications.
