In a reflection of the last few months for the commercial cattle market, March saw records fall across the saleyards for Angus commercial animals.
Commercial Angus heifers tested in calf to Angus bulls from Brooklana stud, Dorrigo, NSW sold to a new national record for Angus, making $4,600 during their recent on-line heifer sale, which took place March 26th. This follows big results for Reiland Angus who sold 10 Angus heifers PTIC and calves for $4,800, equalling the current Australian record for commercial Angus cows and calves at the Reiland Premier Angus Breeder Sale at Gundagai NSW, on March 12th.
