Updated EBVs Available – Mid March 2024
Angus Australia wishes to advise that the Mid March 2024 TransTasman Angus Cattle Evaluation has been completed and updated EBVs are now available.
Please Note – The Expected Progeny Difference (EPD) values accessed from the American Angus Association and Canadian Angus Association to assist with the calculation of TACE EBVs have been updated in the evaluation. This is undertaken four times per year and includes 10 EPDs (Birth Weight, Weaning Weight, Yearling Weight, Mature Cow Weight, Milk, Scrotal Circumference, Carcase Weight, Rib Eye Area, Rib Fat and Marbling.). The method to provide the EPDs has also been modified, mainly to avoid double counting of phenotypes and genotypes. You may observe some EBV changes as a result, particularly for North American animals recorded with Angus Australia and their relatives.
With the completion of the Mid March 2024 analysis, the following reports are available to download from the “Download Files” section of the Member Login area on the Angus Australia website.
