Updated ASBP Progeny Performance Reports

The Angus TACE EBVs and progeny averages listed in the Angus Sire Benchmarking Project (ASBP) Progeny Performance Reports have recently been updated to include the following:

  • Cohort 6: Steer and heifer 400 day weights (all) and ultrasound scan for EMA, rib fat, rump fat and IMF% (partial). Note: several mobs of steer and heifer are yet to be scanned. The values for the scan traits with therefore change as further mob are scanned and analysed.
  • All Cohorts: Update TACE EBVs from the December 2017 TACE analysis which includes several enhancements including the single-step model to utilise genomic information. for further information on the enhancements CLICK HERE.

Progeny Performance reports contain a range of information to assist Angus breeders in determining the progeny performance of sires within the ASBP Sires. This includes a range of familiar information (TACE EBVs and selection Indexes) and additional information (progeny average values and rankings within the ASBP).
